Since appearing as a contestant on BBC’s The Great British Sewing Bee, Lauren Guthrie has built a successful business selling fabrics, haberdashery and sewing kits from her shop in Moseley, Birmingham. As well as the products they sell, Guthrie & Ghani offer creative workshops, tutorials and sewing patterns for the DIY sewing community.
Partnered with Josh Angell, I helped to refresh the G&G brand identity and to develop a complete online storefront for Lauren’s retail business: including smart browsing and product search, checkout flows, video tutorials and workshop bookings.
Guthrie & Ghani’s Sewing Society offers a monthly dressmaking kit, aimed at customers keen to learn to make their own clothes by hand. We implemented a live countdown feature before each new kit drop, as well as a section for online tutorials and patterns for each kit.
